Our Holiday Fun...

We have thoroughly enjoyed every second of our Christmas break this year. It has been so nice to be out of school and spend our first year together during the holidays. We are so grateful we were able to be with our family over Christmas. We want to say thank you to our wonderful families for all the generous and wonderful gifts they gave. We have also been so grateful for our Savior Jesus Christ and that we were able to celebrate His birth and the gift of The Atonement.

This was a very thoughtful gift that was made by my cute and crafty husband. It is for my classroom when I start teaching next fall. It is just so adorable! And yes, he painted it all himself.

Brock enjoyed recieving a new pair of running shoes. Now he has no excuse not to exercise! (your welcome sweetie)

Yay! The whole family has matching jackets! We received so many nice gifts including a new video camera so hopefully we will be posting more videos!

We went up to Heber City to ride the "Polar Express" a.k.a a very slow train where you get a great view of the "North Pole" which is a few houses covered in lights. It was a fun and festive activity, but I may not have completely enjoyed it because I had a bad case of the stomach flu at the time which doesn't mix well with a train ride.

Little Miss Chloe was so excited to ride the train and go visit Santa at the North Pole. Don't kids just make Christmas so fun!

As you can see I was pretty sick at the moment, but I just didn't want to miss out on the family fun.

This is my cute niece Ivie who absolutely loves Brock.

Here is Ivie's adorable little brother Zander!

Best Friends.Hotel Cafe Tour. Loved Every Second!

My wonderful lifelong friend Lindsey gave me a really fun gift for my birthday this year. We went to the Hotel Cafe Tour, which was so awesome! The following artists were there... Meiko, Lenka, Rachel Yamagata, and Kate Havnevik, Emily Wells a.k.a "Delicious Vinyl" and some other awesome crazy oriental rocker girl (whose name I forgot.) All in all, it was a very fun night and a perfect way to celebrate my B-day! Thanks Linds! Love ya girl!

This is all four of us that went to the concert. Yes that is right four not five, we have no idea who the girl is in the background who thought she could also cheese it up for our fabulous picture. It was also so fun to hang out with Camie (Lindsey's sister) and her friend Amanda.

Lindsey and I met when we were about four years old and we have been friends since then. We have a lot of fun memories together and really she is more like a sister!

Halloween Festivities!

Brock and I decided to go as Johnny Cash and June Carter. I loved doing it for our first costume party, but for the next one I ditched the itchy wig (even though it was so fun to be a brunette and just decided to wear the witch hat! Brock still stuck with his costume.

Thanks to Lauren and JayD we had a great time on Halloween night!

This was called the "flour game" at my family Halloween party. We had to cut into pile of flour with a penny in the middle without letting the penny drop. If the penny fell into the flour on your cut you had to fish it out with your mouth... yummy!

My adorable nieces and nephews... love them all!

To dress up or not...

So last Halloween Brock and I went all out and dressed up as Peter Pan and Tinkerbelle. We met up with our family at Lagoon and when we got there we realized we were the only people dressed up. Then we found out that Lagoon doesn't allow people to dress up which explained why no one else had a costume. Then we realized that they still let us in with costumes and all. So the good old Lagoon staff thought that we regularly dressed this way? We changed out of the costumes shortly after that because surprisingly Brock wasn't enjoying his green pantihose! So this year we are not so sure that we will be dressing up or what we will be if we do! Any simple ideas that don't involve pantihose?

This was also a picture of last years Halloween festivities. We had a great time carving pumpkins! It's just a little shout out to my dear friend Rachel that I miss working with every day!

Weekend At Snowbird...

It is a tradition every year to spend a weekend at the SnowBird resort with my grandparents. This was Brocks first year to go and we had a great time! He especially loved it because the German October Fest was going on. Since that is where Brock served his mission, it was fun to have a small taste of the festivities.

This is my cute niece Oakley. We could hardly get her to crack a smile because her mom was out of town and she was feeling a bit neglected. haha

This is my dad stretching right before our big tennis match. If any of you know my dad you know that he is very passionate about his stretches... as you can see!

I must say I was pretty proud of my tennis performance. I am slowly getting better. We were pretty excited to beat my parents in our first match even though they killed us on the second.

Yummy, Yummy! As you can see, Brock really enjoys German food. I must say that I am still aquiring a taste for it. Hopefully I will begin to like it because we might be spending a summer in Germany very soon!

School, Schedules, and Stress!!

Brock and I are both back in school now, which is one reason there has been a lack of blogging! These were our "first day of school" pictures that all mothers were infamous for taking. We both have pretty packed schedules. Our schedules are also pretty opposite of one another so that doesn't leave much space for spending time together. Brock is commuting to Utah State on Tuesdays and Thursdays and working in Ogden the rest of the week. I am finishing my last year in the Elementary Education program at Weber and still waitressing at The Greenery. So we also root for opposite universities, which usually makes for some pretty good debates. Luckily, I do see a light at the end of the tunnel and I know all of the stress will all pay off. We wish everyone in school right now a happy semester... keep up the good work!

My Six Things...

So my good friend Megan tagged me to say six things about myself that others probably don't know so here it goes!

1. I have a secret desire to be the star in a musical production. So I currently practice by belting out the Mama Mia soundtrack in my car haha and according to that I am far from being ready!

2. I wore braces for a little over 4 years. Before I had braces I had two huge vampire teeth at the very top of my gums. My sisters called them my "Titanic Teeth" because they were huge and "going down." It was pretty traumatic (haha not really) but I must say I am happy with the outcome today.

3. I currently hold a second job that entails a lot of janitorial work. This means that I get to wear a huge ghostbuster vacuum on my back. Brock laughs every times he sees me with it on.

4. My favorite hobby is getting a good workout. My new favorite workout is swimming. I just feel one with the water...jk but I want to learn better technique so that I can do a triathlon one day.

5. I absolutely love love Mac makeup. I definitely used to never care what kind of makeup I wore but now that I've used it I can't go back.

6. My nickname is Chuck and has been since I was a baby. My sisters gave me the nickname when I was born and I still answer to it, but only close family and friends are allowed to use it!

So hopefully you have been enlightened on a few more things about me. Some are embarassing and silly, but thats me!

Summer Adventures

Happy 4th of July!! We sure had a fun day in Provo with the parade, a barbeque, golfing, and of course Stadium of Fire with the one and only... Miley Cyrus (Brock was so excited to see her and he was singing right along with her haha)

We had our first camping adventure at Crystal Hot Springs with our fabulous friends Garrett and Mckenzie Rees. We had a blast!
As you can, we had a bit of trouble setting our tent up because we just happened to forget the stakes to keep it down. (Ours is the one on the left if you couldn't tell)
Brock was such a good boy scout and used his skills to make stakes for our tent.... mmmmm lookin good honey!

So far we are having a pretty fun summer. Hope everyone else is having a good summer as well!

Honeymooners...

Well everything just went perfectly for our wedding day. It was such an awesome day!! We are so excited to officially be the Winzeler family. We had a blast on our honeymoon to Huntington Beach, California. Here are some pics from our trip. I will have to post wedding pictures when I get them.
We had so much fun on the day we spent in Disneyland, but who wouldn't have fun in Disneyland!

My favorite meal on the whole trip was at the Cheesecake Factory that was right by our hotel. I just can't get enough of the Dulce de Leche cheesecake!!

This was at Ruby's Diner on the pier at Huntington Beach. It was so yummy!
We were at the Newport Beach temple in this picture. It is a beautiful temple and only a few years ols.

We had such a fun little bike ride along the boardwalk in Newport beach. I mostly just sat there while Brock pedaled! haha

These are some videos from our trip!
