Some fun amidst the craziness...

Our lives have been pretty crazy lately! We are on the countdown to our adventurous summer in Germany and to my graduation- Yay! (I graduate May 1st and we fly out May 2nd aaahhh!) We are so excited but we have lots to do before we go. Luckily, we have been able to find time for some fun with our fabulous families!

We had the awesome opportunity to go see "Wicked" last week. It was AMAZING!! Our sweet and generous Aunt Luann gave us the tickets for Christmas. It was such a fun family memory. I have been listening to the soundtrack non-stop since and I would have to say my voice is quite similar to the soundtrack (haha I wish! but I do sound pretty good in the shower)

I was also able to have a fabulous girls trip with my sisters and my mom down to Las Vegas. We went to visit my sister Shannon and her adorable kids. This is my cute niece Vienna

We had a great time spending three hours in the MAC makeup store. It is definitely one of our guilty pleasures.

Yes that's right we are wearing matching outfits. We all bought the same shirts and thought it would be so fun to wear them the next day. It turned out to be a little more embarrassing than fun once we noticed the stares we were getting. But hey it's all about the memories right? It was definitely a girls trip with lots of shopping, food, and fun.

Sun, Family, and Fun!

This past weekend we had a wonderful weekend visiting Brock's two sisters in Arizona. We celebrated baby Jake's birthday, Valentine's Day, and just enjoyed spending some quality time together!

It was so fun to see our cute niece Chloe, and our adorable nephew Jake. Brock made sure to bring Jake a Utah State shirt for his birthday. He's recruiting em at a young age now!

The girls had a fabulous day shopping in the best outlet mall in Arizona. This was one funny moment during the day when we found a great deal on jewelry and obviously took advantage of it!

Overall, it was a much needed vacation. We are so grateful to have such an awesome family. The only sad part was getting use to 70 degree weather and then coming home to a snow storm! I pretty much convinced myself that I could make Arizona my new home, but of course I haven't been there during the sweltering summers.

Aufwiedersehen!

Hello fellow bloggers, I am excited to say that this will be my first post on our blog. (probably my last). Wow, I must say, I can see how you all get addicted to this. I mean the nostalgic feeling I get typing this is amazing....because I know that so many of you have been twidling your thumbs and checking our blog everyday for the next update of our juicy lives. This is Brock, if you didn't catch on to that already and I have some news to announce and told my sweet wife that I would write something about it, since I made her wait so long to say something.

This summer Arrienne and I will be moving to Southern Germany. For four months I will be working for a company called Bosch (they make blenders, car parts, washer/dryers pretty much everything you can think of). I will be an office intern and will be assisting in the packaging technology division as they prepare for the upcoming year. (That is about all I wanted to write about what I actually would be doing without going into a bunch of details). Anyway we are very excited to spend a summer in Europe together and make a lot of fun memories. Arrienne is especially excited that she won't have to shave her legs or arm pits for a few months.... At any rate we are excited to do some traveling and eat all of that wonderful German food...did I hear Wienerschnitzel?

A Tribute to the 90's? or 80's?

I was looking at my mom's latest pictures on her camera and happened to see her in a recent picture wearing this lovely red dress. I could not believe my mom had actually decided to wear this dress in public since she wore it when I was a baby, which was 22 years ago! She thought it would be festive for a Christmas concert. We told her that anything with a doyle is definitely out of style and not allowed out of the house! We had a good laugh over it. I told my mom I felt bad that I didn't live at home anymore so that I could tell her when her outfit wasn't so cute. We all had a good laugh over it and decided to dig through her closet to see what other treasures were hiding in there. Then we all dresssed up and had a great time laughing. We also informed her that the Christmas sweaters with bells and embroidery on them were also out of style! haha but just so everyone knows my mom does have a good sense of style and she does have cute clothes. This was just one of those very funny moments when she forgot she shouldn't be wearing clothes she wore in the 80's or 90's!

Our Holiday Fun...

We have thoroughly enjoyed every second of our Christmas break this year. It has been so nice to be out of school and spend our first year together during the holidays. We are so grateful we were able to be with our family over Christmas. We want to say thank you to our wonderful families for all the generous and wonderful gifts they gave. We have also been so grateful for our Savior Jesus Christ and that we were able to celebrate His birth and the gift of The Atonement.

This was a very thoughtful gift that was made by my cute and crafty husband. It is for my classroom when I start teaching next fall. It is just so adorable! And yes, he painted it all himself.

Brock enjoyed recieving a new pair of running shoes. Now he has no excuse not to exercise! (your welcome sweetie)

Yay! The whole family has matching jackets! We received so many nice gifts including a new video camera so hopefully we will be posting more videos!

We went up to Heber City to ride the "Polar Express" a.k.a a very slow train where you get a great view of the "North Pole" which is a few houses covered in lights. It was a fun and festive activity, but I may not have completely enjoyed it because I had a bad case of the stomach flu at the time which doesn't mix well with a train ride.

Little Miss Chloe was so excited to ride the train and go visit Santa at the North Pole. Don't kids just make Christmas so fun!

As you can see I was pretty sick at the moment, but I just didn't want to miss out on the family fun.

Best Friends.Hotel Cafe Tour. Loved Every Second!

My wonderful lifelong friend Lindsey gave me a really fun gift for my birthday this year. We went to the Hotel Cafe Tour, which was so awesome! The following artists were there... Meiko, Lenka, Rachel Yamagata, and Kate Havnevik, Emily Wells a.k.a "Delicious Vinyl" and some other awesome crazy oriental rocker girl (whose name I forgot.) All in all, it was a very fun night and a perfect way to celebrate my B-day! Thanks Linds! Love ya girl!


This is all four of us that went to the concert. Yes that is right four not five, we have no idea who the girl is in the background who thought she could also cheese it up for our fabulous picture. It was also so fun to hang out with Camie (Lindsey's sister) and her friend Amanda.

Lindsey and I met when we were about four years old and we have been friends since then. We have a lot of fun memories together and really she is more like a sister!

Halloween Festivities!

Brock and I decided to go as Johnny Cash and June Carter. I loved doing it for our first costume party, but for the next one I ditched the itchy wig (even though it was so fun to be a brunette and just decided to wear the witch hat! Brock still stuck with his costume.






Thanks to Lauren and JayD we had a great time on Halloween night!

This was called the "flour game" at my family Halloween party. We had to cut into pile of flour with a penny in the middle without letting the penny drop. If the penny fell into the flour on your cut you had to fish it out with your mouth... yummy!
